How to install ConvoPath on BigCommerce

BigCommerce's Script Manager lets you load ConvoPath storefront-wide without editing your Stencil theme files — and without needing developer access.

    Copy your ConvoPath embed snippet

    Log in to ConvoPath, open your chatbot's settings, and go to the Install / Embed section. Click 'Copy snippet' to grab the one-line <script> tag — it contains your unique workspace ID, so each site you install on stays isolated. Keep the tab open; you'll paste this snippet into your platform's admin in the next step.

    Open Storefront → Script Manager

    In your BigCommerce control panel, go to Storefront → Script Manager. Click 'Create a Script' in the top-right.

    Configure the script

    Set Name = 'ConvoPath', Description = 'AI chatbot launcher', Location on page = 'Footer', Select pages where script will be added = 'All pages', Script category = 'Essential', and Script type = 'Script'. Paste the ConvoPath <script> tag into the 'Scripts contents' field and click Save.

    Verify the chatbot is live

    Open your site in an incognito/private window (so you bypass any logged-in admin bars or caches). The ConvoPath launcher should appear in the bottom-right corner within 2–3 seconds. Send a test message to confirm it answers from your trained content. If you don't see the launcher, view page source and search for 'convopath' to confirm the snippet is rendering.

BigCommerce will not run scripts on the optimized one-page checkout unless category is set to 'Essential' AND your store has consent. The launcher will appear on storefront, product, category, blog, and cart pages by default. If you use BigCommerce's native cookie consent, the visitor must accept the relevant category before the script executes.
